Description: Eir is polled, white. He has extremely muscular neck
and shoulders and a great conformation. Back is exceptionally strong and
muscled. Loins are lond, broad and as well filled as possible. thighs
are very well shaped, thick muscle which completely closes the crotch.
Feets are strong and right. Eir is exceptionally powerful and long
bodied.
Wool EE: "White with no tan or black fibers - small black
spots on ears. Rather short woolled, fine and curled thog. Quantity
hardly medium and rather little thel in back. Soft and lustrous
wool."
Results: Eir was progeny tested at Smáhamrar farm in 1997 and
gave following result: Rib fat 8,4 mm, thighs 3,8 points and dressing
weight 18,7 kg.
Eir was progeny tested again in 1998: Eye muscle thickness 23,5 mm (S),
back fat 3,6 mm, thighs 16,3 points, meat grading 7,70 points, fat
grading 6,20 points and dressing weight 16,92 kg. Eir was also progeny
taested by SOUTHRAM in 2000:

they are fairly prolific, at least above average. Eir was expected to be
excellent breeding sire and has proven to be so.
